Delegation of Bangladesh for CRPD; United Nations Office at Geneva
DRRA executive director became the delegation team member of Bangladesh and represent the situation of persons with disabilities in Bangladesh according to CRPD at Geneva. The delegation of Bangladesh consisted of representatives of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting; Ministry of Social Welfare; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Disabled Rehabilitation and Research Association; and the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations Office in Geneva.
The Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities concluded its consideration of the initial report of Bangladesh on its implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on 26th August 2022. Committee Experts commended Bangladesh for incorporating the Convention in domestic law, and asked questions on infanticide and support for the employment of persons with disabilities.
