News of DRRADRRA fundraising activities for Amorjoti-Badda special school for children with disabilities: a charity show held

As a part of fundraising activities, DRRA organized a charity show of the play “Konjush” a popular theatre of Bangladesh, based on Moliere’s ‘The Miser’, adapted by Tariq Anam Khan and directed by Kamrun Nur Chowdhury and staged by Loko Natyadal. The show was held on 29 July 2016 at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Dhaka. The overall objective of this charity show is to create a platform for raising small funds for poor children with disabilities by using local sources. The specific objective is to raise funds for amorjoti and involve more people with its fundraising activities.    

The show was successful and many people attended at the theatre. The show was fully houseful and all tickets were sold out within 6 pm of the show date.  People enjoyed the show very much and they have aware about Amorjoti School and they also contributed additionally in the donation box. After the show, all performers bowed to the audience and a thanksgiving speech given by the President of Loko Natyadal and the Executive Director of DRRA. Finally, the net income from the show handed over to the Executive Director of DRRA in the presence of the audience.
