Advocacy and networking for inclusive Society for person with disability

DRRA do the advocacy for an inclusive society for the person with disability. It creates advocacy networks and works in collaboration national and international alliances and stakeholders by sharing evidence of the success of the journey for promoting rights of persons with disabilities.

DRRA has established its image as a leading national platform across the country working intensively at the policy and implementation level along with different governments, civil societies and international agencies and media.ess model development.

Strategies for advocacy and networking

  • Functional relationship with visible leadership with local, national & international networks
  • Join different thematic alliances on disability and Development
  • Grassroots level non formal networking with DPOs, CBOs for advocacy and awareness
  • Working directly with Govt and local Govt. to make the disability issue mainstreaming
  • Working with Human rights commission and legal support organization
  • Knowledge-based Advocacy & Lobbying for adaptation & implication of policy & legislation

DRRA Network and Partnership

  • Joint collaborative programme on Education and Health by signing MoU with Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
  • 24 PNGOs and 120 DPOs working in 16 districts on DRRA's CBR approach
  • Steering by DRRA, Inclusive Health Alliance with 12 NGOs formed, for national advocacy for promoting disability-inclusive health system and program in Bangladesh.
  • DRRA is getting DiDRR Network membership soon, to promote inclusive disaster management.
