Community-based Rehabilitation (CBR) is a very well excepted & widely practiced strategy in Bangladesh and initiated 5 by 5 matrix to ensure health, education, livelihoods, social and empowerment of persons with disabilities. DRRA started CBR in early 20’s and as the broader needs of people with disabilities, ensuring their participation and inclusion in society and enhancing their quality of life. To ensure inclusiveness all of unique needs have been addressed by DRRA through its implementation strategy. DRRA is offering rehabilitation services at community level. Manual therapy, ADL training, Assistive device use and its assessment services are availing by the children with disabilities. Early childhood education also introduce as per children development. Parents groups arrange monthly meeting and sharing their children issue and social safety net opportunities. DRRA works with parents group for their empowerment into next level and supported for establishment of OPD with all administrative process for registration. DRRA created referral linkage with community clinic and primary school for medicines and enrolment at schools.
