Under the government health system, Community Clinic (CC) is providing health services to the people at grassroots level. Upazila hospitals and DRRA are working for the capacity development of Community Health Care Providers (CHCP) and Community Group. At present 240 community clinics under 9 Upazilas are working under this program; so that they can identify the persons with disabilities and people at risk of disabilities and refer them to the health and rehabilitation units at health complexes in nearest Upazilas. Training on disability early identification and prevention are given to the CHCP responsible at the Community Clinic in three districts for their capacity building. to promote inclusive health model in community Clinics through utilizing the existing health system and facilities of Bangladesh Government with a collaborative relationship among both parties, a memorandum of understanding will be signed very soon. In this regard, a briefing session about DRRA PIHRS project held on 6 December 2016 at the conference room of BMRC Bhaban, Mohakhali, Dhaka. The Chief Coordinator of Community Based Health Care program Dr. Makhduma Nargis was present as Chief Guest. The Executive Director of DRRA Farida Yesmin facilitated the briefing session and presented project overview on the occasion. The related officials of Community Based Health Care, DRRA and representative of CBM were present at the session.
